The Country Club of Mount Dora is located in the rolling hills of Lake County Florida. It is nestled in amongst magnificent horse farms and beautiful lakes and the community has 829 homes with many of the club members living inside the community. The property boasts an 18 hole picturesque championship golf course designed by Lloyd Clifton in 1991.
Water comes into play on 16 of the 18 holes and it has an aqua driving range for lessons and player practice. The course measures 6571 yards with a par of 72 and the raised greens are guarded by strategically placed traps and water offering a challenging target for both the accomplished player and the recreational golfer. The front nine holes includes 3-par 3’s, 3-par 4’s and 3-par 5’s making the play an interesting start to the golf experience. The members at the club have established groups who play together in a spirit of camaraderie and friendship including all levels of playing skill. The professional golf staff organizes and coordinates several golf tournaments each year where money is raised for deserving causes while providing an outstanding golf experience for all who participate. There is also a fully-stocked golf pro shop containing shirts, hats, golf balls, golf gloves, shoes, clubs, golf bags and an assortment of accessories for every golfer. The club is a proud member of The Golf Group family of country clubs.
The Country Club is also a place where members only can visit to enjoy a glorious swimming Pool, heated spa and four hard surface tennis courts. It offers a 10,000 Square foot Clubhouse featuring a full bar, grill room, main dining room, Golf Pro Shop, Men’s and Women’s locker rooms plus and two private dining rooms. The golf course, restaurant and bar facilities are open to the public 7 days per week and Full Golf, Single Golf and Social memberships are available.
The Clubhouse is host to many weddings and banquets each year. Their award-winning Executive Chef provides a variety of meal choices all prepared in a caring and healthy manner.
